AI Policy

This policy is in effect as of December 14, 2025.

Not that I need to really do this, but I want to state my official policy on AI and LLM tools. Just like the contents of this website and any publications that I create, this policy is mine alone, and do not reflect those of my current or previous employers.

I do not use AI or LLM technologies in anything that I create. I do not use it to come up with ideas, to create outlines of anything, or to write/rewrite anything that I create and publish on this website. I do not use it for any of my guides or publications, or in anything else that I sell to people.

I strongly believe that using AI tools for these purposes is disingenuous and a betrayal of everything that I believe in. If I create a post on this website or publish content for purchase, I feel as though it is fraudulent to use AI to create that content. If that means errors appear in my work then it is something that I am willing to live with, and I do sometimes make corrections to past posts on this site. Since the contents of this website are available to review, all corrections can be found there.

I do not agree with how AI models are trained, how they are used, and how they have harmed the internet with “AI slop” that has ruined a lot of websites. I am completely aware that the contents of this website are scraped constantly by AI bots, and I know that other work of mine has been used to train AI models. It is an unavoidable problem until regulations are put in place, which at the time of this writing does not appear to be happening.

If you use AI tools then I have no issues with that, but they are something that I don’t use and I will continue to not use.
